really interested in getting an abarth turbo for my t-jet been looking everywhere for a vl36 but can't seem to find anyi'm guessing the vl38 the same fitment? also was wondering how well they run without a remapif possible i'd upgrade the turbo then save up for a remap rather than having

hello again , can anyone tell me if the turbo on the t-jet engine is reliable , hear a lot about modern turbos not beng very good but how are the ones on the t-jet , i know its a powerful engine but is it reliable , cheers :)
Advised by dealer I had suffered a turbo failure and this tends to happen to these cars at my mileage of 70,000. Cost me £987 for a reconditioned turbo. I suspect it was due to oil starvation. Now have a car with oil drink problem with unidentified cause and a loud booming noise coming from engine which dealer again can't identify.
Oct 15, 2011. #4. Probably a MAP sensor fault. Sometimes they clog-up and the readings go out of calibration. You (or your mechanic) can confirm this by seeing if the MAP sensor reading matches the atmospheric air pressure reading with the engine not running.
