Sep 17, 2012. #11. If it was a Jetta I would suggest the front park/turn signal socket - it likes to melt. Both Jettas and Golfs have some issues with the rear bulb trays getting water in them and rusting when the tail lamp seals start leaking. But most common is the repeater turn signal on the fender - the wire gets pinched or rubs on The warning light supplies a bit of current to get the alternator started. Without it, there will be no charging. Since the lamp does not light when you ground the D+ terminal, this points to a burned out bulb in the cluster or wiring between cluster and alternator. Now im starting to think could it be a faulty comfort module? One of dome lights isnt working, problems with central locking and im unable to pop trunk with fob (latch works manualy), this all points for comfort module for golf mk4 / pasat b5.5, but i never found it could happen on mk5. Any ideas what i should check? Thanks in advance.

The left indicator works fine. When it stops working the hazard lights work ok. At the same time it stops working the main/dip headlight selector on the switch

NC. Dec 24, 2019. #1. So, I did a search before posting this and decided to post anyway, because my problem seems to be a little different. I have a 2018 Golf R. The rear wiper started to stutter so I had VW replace it during my first 10k service. When I say "stutter" I mean that as the wiper arm sweeps, it stops for a split second.

Re: MK4 Golf won't lock by using the key fob (STI VR) you can try removing the battery and pressing the buttons (drains the remote COMPLETELY) and do a re-adaptation with either vagcom or placing 1 key in the ignition and another in the driver's door lock and locking/unlocking the vehicle. if it 7NhO.
